I catered for a fab dinner party this weekend for a great bunch of people in Rownhams, Southampton. It was particularly enjoyable as Rownhams brought back memories from my Junior school days! I actually went to school with Melanie's younger brother way back in 1981 and my favourite cousin was at school with Melanie herself. Melanie found my site on Google, enquiring for a Private Dinner Party Chef to cater for her husband's 60th Birthday Party so it was great to come back to the area and cook up some fantastic ChefGary food! It was a great evening, providing a delectable canape menu to enjoy with arrival drinks, a delicious crab starter, succulent chicken in pastry for main course and finished with what is becoming my trade mark, Trio of desserts!
Blush tomato, avocado, fresh basil, mozzarella
Smoked salmon roullade, lemon, cracked black pepper.
Smoked duck breast, cucumber ribbons, cranberry, spring onion,
King prawns, crayfish tails, lightly spiced guacamole,
Tian of white crab meat and avocado, cherry tomatoes, lemon vinaigrette.
Roasted breast of free range chicken, stuffed with asparagus mousseline, wrapped in streaky bacon and puff pastry, white wine cream sauce,
Buttered Jersey royals, roasted baby carrots, broccoli florets.
Trio of Desserts:
Lemon tart, short crust pastry, raspberry coulis,
Strawberry and mascarpone cheesecake, vanilla tuille biscuit,
Chocolate orange fondant , vanilla ice cream.
Biscuits, celery, black grapes, caramelised red onion chutney.
